Accepted to partake in a weeklong externship at Harvard University-School of Dental Medicine’s Pediatric Dentistry program at Boston Children’s Hospital

  • Throughout the week, was able to observe the residents giving care to pediatric patients, many of whom had developmental disorders which gave rise to specific challenges in terms of compliance in giving care
  • Many advanced techniques in behavior management, such as papoose board and conscious sedation were used
  • Was also allowed to observe in the operating room and watched patients who needed several urgent dental treatments receive the treatment at once under general anesthesia.
