Work History

Fourth Grade Classroom Teacher

Bloomington Public Schools District 271
2022.08 - 2024.08

For the past two years I have educated a beautifully diverse group of Fourth Graders at Valley View Elementary school. While providing a warm, supportive environment for developing academic, social, and emotional growth, I also implemented behavior modification strategies, resulting in improved self-regulation and classroom participation among students. Establishing a positive classroom environment by implementing effective classroom management strategies and promoting respect among students helped me teach each individual child. I used data-driven instruction by analyzing assessment results and adjusting lesson plans accordingly to address areas of need. This helped retain student interest and maximized receptive learning. I worked collaboratively with teachers, special education teachers, and therapists to develop individualized educational plans for each student, ensuring optimal progress. Additionally, I utilized my admin, Q-Comp coaches, and District Mentors to grow professionally in any way that I can for I am flexible by nature. I work extremely hard to build positive relationships with parents to involve families in educational processes even across language barriers. I believe involving families creates supportive and inclusive learning environment, while fostering positive classroom atmospheres supporting student growth and learning. I've contributed to a successful school culture by participating in various committees focused on initiatives such as Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS), and Tier 1 Supports targeting SEL Needs. Finally, I helped to organize extracurricular activities such as after-school Girls Who Code to empower and bridge the "gap" between girls and coding. This helps better reflect upon themselves and the diversity of their communities

District Reserve Teacher

Bloomington Public Schools
2021.11 - 2022.08

At the Bloomington Public Schools, it was my honor to continue the education that was left off with the classroom teacher. As a District Reserve Teacher in the elementary schools I continued advancing my teaching and classroom management strategies. This wonderful opportunity left me confident and ready to be an impactful educator.

Preschool Lead Teacher

Everbrook Academy
2019.10 - 2021.11

At Everbrook Academy, I provided high quality care and education to 3-4 year olds using 21st century learning skills, while implementing organized activities to teach preschool children foundational learning skills such as letters and numbers. Using my communication skills, I was able to support students in developing Prekindergarten and Kindergarten readiness skills. Additionally, I developed and implemented behavior management plans for individualized students. My Principal supports my creativity and provides me opportunities to grow as an educator. By doing all subjects mentioned above I was able to use my degree and advance as an impactful educator.

Activity Assistant and Summer Lead

Kids Safari
2017.12 - 2019.08

At Kids Safari, I planned fun and safe activities for children grades K-5 in specific areas, such as engineering, science, dramatic play, and more. I planned for two areas with at least 3 hours worth of activities Monday-Friday. Keeping these areas organized and clean helped the students enjoy their time and create a community. I contributed to Kids Safari's thriving community, and left the children feeling safe and loved.
