I started dancing when I was 6 years old. I absolutely loved dance class. From a very young age I was able to learn choreography very quickly and I started choreographing my own pieces. After 7 years in my childhood dance studio, I was urged by my instructors to seek further guidance and more intensive training at Briarwood Ballet. I was put straight into the intensive division and danced with Ballet Exaltation. After Briarwood, I decided to join my community theatre. I found a love for musical theatre and acting. I was also able to use my dance training in musicals. I danced in SDPAC's Productions of "Beauty and the Beast," "Big Fish," "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" and others. As I was dancing in "Beauty and the Beast," I was recognized by the lead dance instructors at SDPAC and they hired me to teach classical ballet shortly after. Since then, I've had many opportunities to choreograph for groups of people rather than just myself. I choreograph annually for their Spring Recital. I've had the pleasure of choreographing two musicals; The first being "The Aristocats Kids," a kid's camp and the second, Roger and Hammerstein's "Cinderella," where I got to work with more experienced and mature dancers.
