Volunteer Experience

Variety The Children's Charity of Pittsburgh VMB Board Member/Co-Chair

  • New volunteer initiative created in February 2024 to engage community members who with to further Variety's mission of empowering children with disabilities to live life to the fullest by providing life-changing mobility and communication equipment to ensure the most vulnerable kids are not longer left out and left behind.

Cure JM (Juvenile Myositis) Committee Pittsburgh Chapter, Member. 

  • Attend monthly meetings to plan first Ever Pittsburgh based fundraiser. Secure sponsorships, venue, silent auction items and event attendees to raise awareness in the Pittsburgh region.

Bender Leadership Academy, Volunteer. 

  • Interface with Highschool Juniors and Seniors with different abilities from local high schools. Attend four quarterly classes to deliver training and prepare students with disabilities for the world of work., Maintaining strong attendance, demonstrating honesty and integrity, exhibiting a positive attitude and taking initiative, presenting a professional appearance, creating an articulate resume, conducting an engaging interview, remaining accountable at work, collaborating on teams, respecting diversity, standing up to bullying and building self- confidence.
