Seeking a position as a Training Officer at Men's Central Jail..
I want to become a Training Officer at Men's Central Jail, because I care about maintaining high professional standards by helping new Deputies succeed in a challenging career environment. I want the opportunity to train new Deputies, help them understand policy and procedures and help them build the confidence they need to keep themselves safe and partners safe working at Men's Central Jail. I want to set a positive example and show them how to always be there for their partners, how to handle difficult situations professionally and to become the best version of themselves being a deputy.
- I have worked as a Deputy sheriff at Men's Central Jail for almost one year.
-Assisted Operation Safe Jail (OSJ) staff with inmate and cell searches, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
-I have dealt with general population and highly dangerous inmates on the 2000/3000 floor
-Trained on the 3000 floor under T/O Aguilar, conducting k-10 escort showers, waist chaining, inmate interviews with Jail Liaison, and managing new inmate arrivals and wayside operations.
-T/O Aguilar taught me how to book evidence, write reports and how to IRTS inmates
Developed communication skills to engage inmates and understand their backgrounds and gang affiliations.
-After training I became a title 15 safety check walker on the 2000 floor. In between each of my walks, I assist each module with anything they need help, which includes wayside, housing new fish, dayroom, law library, etc....
-Learned proper procedures on handling suicidal inmates
