Shea Aran Fagan

Maintained rigorous course schedule while playing varsity sports, working, and being involved in multiple non-profit organizations helping adults and children with medical conditions. While I am undecided about my future career path, I am interested in the healthcare field and working to make a difference for those who need extra support in their lives. Working in non-profits, I organized, fundraised, and participated in events and interacted with children and families. I hope my efforts contribute to better treatments, resources, and someday a cure. In addition, my relationship and work with a severely impaired teenager over the past 6 years has given me great experience managing daily care, adapting to her changing needs, and being creative in my approach to varied behaviors and emotions. I am trusted with her care for extended stays while the family is traveling out of state and country.

Public Health

• National Honor Society (NHS), Officer, Plan, implement, and oversee 40 service hours per year for peers.
• National Art Honor Society (NAHS), Member, Provide 40 artistic volunteer services for school fairs, veteran workshops, and community events.
• Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, VolunTEEN, Learned about hospital departments and assisted with patient care, transport, paperwork, and made 100+ care bags for families.
• Kyle Pease Foundation, Ambassador, Assist and race with wheelchair athletes in community running events.
• Aurora Day Camp, Teen Board Member, Raised funds, promoted awareness, participated in child/family events for specialized camp serving children with cancer and their siblings.
• Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Fundraiser, Independently raised $2500 for single event and advocated for blood cancer research.
• Student Government Association (SGA), Member, Worked with peers to develop and execute school events.
