Summary

My objective is to obtain an account executive position serving the state of Georgia.

Philosophy of Education – “First and foremost my philosophy of education is that I believe all children are unique and must have a stimulating educational environment where they can grow physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially. My belief has guided and directed me for over 26 years as I have served as a teacher, Academic Support Coordinator and Instructional Coach, Assistant Principal, and ELA HMH Consultant. Base on multiple work experiences I have had, it was always my strong desire and passion to assist in creating an atmosphere where students can meet their full potential by providing ongoing professional learning with teachers and staff members, assist teachers and staff in setting high expectations as it relates to accountability for students, establish strong connections with parents and staff in order to discuss needs and goals, and monitoring curriculum, instruction, and assessments in order to ensure a quality education that is rigorous and engaging. My core beliefs still remain the same, but as I change career positions these goals adjust based on my role. It is my desire as an account executive to work alongside districts in the acquisition of a streamlined curriculum that delivers curriculum, instruction and assessment that meets the needs of our learners and our state mandates. I feel I would be a perfect fit for the position of account executive as I have worked with the company and experienced teaching the core curriculum to teachers for the past 4 years, have worked in the State of Georgia, and currently working with Atlanta Public Schools and the new state standards are being aligned to Georgia. I feel the delivery of customized pre-sales presentations in collaboration with their sales partners would provide me opportunities to use my personal relationships I have expanded over the last few years. This delivery requires a strong content and pedagogy background and requires ongoing growth in the area of ELA, which is my passion. The conversations with customers to gain information around a highly content-connected solution for all customers is very important to becoming an integral part of this important process. With this knowledge, having the coaching background in schools with teachers provides me with the knowledge and tools to successfully meet the goals in regards to this position. I feel sure I would be an asset in the position of Account Executive in Georgia base on my extensive background and work with the state of Georgia. I have extensive experience and training as it relates to ELA content as well as HMH ELA content specifics. My interpersonal skills to discuss and connect with customers is impeccable.
