I have some hands on training with helping persons in need. My daughter battled cancer and I essentially became an at home nurse. I was taught by Oakland Children's Hospital how to draw blood from her central line clean and maintain it. I also gave her shots as needed and took care of her pill regimen.
During my daycare years I took care of a toddler that had hemophilia. I was taught by his mother how to administer his medications through his PICC line if anything were to happen during daycare hours.
I also helped take care of my grandfather in his last years who battled dementia with simple life tasks.
In addition to caregiving I also coached basketball ranging from 3rd grade to varsity. I have been doing so for about 18 years. I love to help and coach where my knowledge is welcomed.
