Project Description:

Purchase Order Management application(POM) End to End (E2E) Testing automation is to automate the Purchase Order(PO) and Automated Shipment Notice(ASN) creation for testing multiple initiatives in POM space. POM serves as upstream/downstream for many other teams like EDI, Finance, (Warehouse Management System)WMS and Allocation. In addition to manual data setup, error handling and support, POM E2E team also designs automated tools to reduce manual effort by identifying pain points and repetitive tasks

Job description:

  • Interaction with stakeholders (Product Manager, business users) to gather business requirements, understand current state of application and provide solutions for future state
  • Assessed current systems and identified ways to add new functionality while boosting processes.
  • Attending PDR meetings (Preliminary Design Review) to check whether the application can meet stated performance with the new requirements
  • Coordinate with Expert groups for special support including teams to design the schemas and tables needed for the new requirements, security/access control teams for application security
  • Impact Analysis – Document if impacts identified
  • Coordination and construction of new features based on the requirements gathered
  • Work with offshore for construction and on time delivery
  • Preparation of Low Level Design, Unit Test Plan, Diagrams, provide training/design documents for reference in confluence
  • Develop unit test cases, test procedures to perform unit testing, integration testing and performance testing
  • Carry out the activities design meetings, code merge reviews, walkthroughs, and solution demo meetings

The One Network Tool (ONT) project is one of several installations required to achieve the goals related to the program of One Supply Chain, and is intended to provide the necessary framework to deliver optimization activities across The Home Depot’s distribution network. ONT is intended to create a planned coordinated flow of goods based on synchronized, scheduled activities. ONT will provide a long term and short term plan for product flowing through the supply chain from vendors into stores, online customers and HD-pro customers considering realistic constraints and optimal flow path. ONT also expands to new supply chain hybrid buildings and their setup into the Home Depot network. This new setup and migration will enable the retirement of legacy Distribution Network application.

SCS will provide a long term and short term plan for product flowing through the supply chain from vendors into stores considering realistic constraints and optimal flow path. Also, under this project, supply chain synchronization will be converting the order forecast into carton and truckload forecast as well as identifying disposition type for the distribution centers. Once the forecast is agreed upon by all parties, the orders will be executed to plan and will be monitored in accordance to plan.

Job Description:
