I was in banking for 23 years before I went into Ag lending loan processing. At the bank I started out as a teller, transferred to the back room for processing checks, research on accounts and balancing GL accounts. From there I was transferred to a Commercial loan secretary for a couple of years and then I was asked to be transferred to the Consumer loan secretary because of the volume of loans they were processing. I quit to go to work for a Ag lending company as a loan processor because the bank was merging with a big company. I was there nearly a year and my husband passed away and it was too stressful with what was going on in the office so I went to work for the City of Clovis processing their payroll and all of the insurance and other deductions such as child support payments. I went around doing inventory for the cities assets for each department. Balancing each departments bank statements monthly. Then the City of Farwell called and asked if I would be willing to come to work for them. I collect water payments, accept payments for West Texas Gas. I balance those before closing every day. I get the water bills ready to be sent out. I take payments and schedule services for funerals at Sunset Terrace Cemetery. I schedule events at the Farwell Community Center. I also get the monthly council meetings agenda ready to mail and type the minutes for each meeting. I reconcile the bank statements each month. I set up the budget for each department each year. I am the clerk for the municipal judge so I take payments for citations in person and on the phone and print out complaints for new citations and then after a citation is paid off, I print out the closing documents for the judge to fill them in the paid out filing cabinet.
