for 6 months.

• Escorted inmates to and from cells, court, hospitals and medical appointments.
• Conducted routine and emergency head counts including making security rounds every 29 minutes.
• Prepared, processed and maintained forms, reports, logs, records and activity journals.
• Observed and supervised inmates throughout visits, meal time, recreation, phone calls and showers.
• Led intake and processing of inmates by handling paperwork, searches, interviews and fingerprinting.
• Made inside perimeter checks and outside perimeter checks including roof checks.

This was a volunteer position but I received $25 per 8 hour shift. My duties included escorting groups of students to local stores in the evenings for personal needs. I also supervised the dorm from 9:00 pm - 12:00 am to ensure all students were accounted for. I left this position when I was hired at the prison.

• Disinfected water with chemicals such as ammonia and chlorine in exact concentrations.
