ADMINISTRATIVE SECRETARY

  • I provide customer service to a wide range of diverse individuals who visit our park.
  • I meet new people every day and assist them in learning about our park and answering any questions they may have.
  • I strive each day to provide unmatched customer service to our visitors using everything I have learned from acquiring my degree in psychology.
  • I exercise accounting skills to open and close the gift shop each day. This includes running reports, counting money as well as balancing and documenting, preparing deposits, etc.
  • I assist with procurement activities for the park, as well as paying bills. This requires extreme attention to detail in order to comply with state contracts and process payments correctly.
  • I brainstorm, plan, and manage new events that take place at the park. This includes building relationships in the community and networking with other businesses to be successful.
  • I have applied for various grants to improve the park without being prompted. I took the initiative to apply to a TEAP grant for new trails and won the grant for $217,060.
  • I also initiated an 'all inclusive' playground project for the park to target the underserved demographic of disabled children and adults which I am still in the process of completing.
  • I am a self-starter and highly motivated to create change that impacts my community in a meaningful way.
