In the ICU, I manage patients with multiple medical problems, several lines and medications, analyze and anticipate orders from providers, update providers on the patients, and advocate for patients
In Endoscopy, I worked with inpatients and outpatients. Assisting with procedures, working with multiple teams and doctors, giving medications, coordinating procedure rooms.
Working on the Solid Organ Transplant Unit, I took care of a wife range of patients. Constant rounding, managing medications for 5-6 patients, communicating with providers frequently, analyzing labs and anticipating orders.
I have experience in medical surgical, progressive care, endoscopy, and critical care. I currently work on the ICU and I truly love it. I enjoy only having to focus on two to three patients, the autonomy critical patients require, and the fast pace. In the ICU, I always take time to get to know the patient and their loved ones because that always reminds me of why I became a nurse. Wanting to help people on their worst days and providing a smile when I can.
