Rheta's Market is a job through University Housing at UW-Madison. At Rheta's market, I help prepare and serve food, whether that includes cooking or just helping to set up materials. I also help keep the dining room clean and organized. I also constantly assist customers who have questions or concerns.
At Grand Pizza I was a waitress and hostess. I would take customers' orders and help prepare them. I also answered phones to take orders, and I handled all the online orders as well. I would also seat customers at tables when they walked in. Then I would bus the tables when customers finished eating. At this job, I would constantly be working with a cash register, a credit card, and a computer system.
During the past summers, I worked as waitstaff on the Stillwater riverboats. I would help with public trips, which involved serving customers their food, and bringing around drinks. I also worked on private cruises (parties, weddings, company retreats); this was very similar to public trips, except I would help set up whatever the customer needed, and each of these events had specific itineraries that I would follow. At the end of each trip, I would clean the entire boat, and help restock it as well.
As an umpire, I would work with baseball and softball teams to officiate games. I also explained the rules, regulations, and league guidelines to players and coaches.
