My responsibilities at John Marshall Middle School were to teach 6th grade writing. Writing was a pilot program that they started for the 2018 school year. I did not have the same responsibilities as the ELA teachers. I was only responsible for the writing part of ELA. Making sure my students wrote complete paragraphs, no run-on's, do not start sentences with FANBOY'S, and making sure their essays were of proper length.

I taught 8th Grade Science for 12 years. While teaching 8th grade science. I was able to maintain a 70 to 84 percent passing rate on the 8th Grade Science Staar Exam. From 2007 to 2016. I think 8th grade is a grade where the children are still children and  they still enjoy learning.

My responsibilities were to help design the science curriculum.

My responsibilities as a department head. Were to make sure that I kept up with the needs of the employees, and to make sure that the science department ran accurately. 

My responsibilities were to make sure my students learned the concept of sixth grade science.
