Provides supervision of the residents and is also responsible for role-modeling healthy behavior, maintaining professional boundaries and observing and carrying out resident driven, competency-based, trauma informed interventions as outlined in the residents’ ISP’s. Assists with the management of a psychiatric residential unit with emphasis on the delivery of high quality trauma-informed care in a cost effective manner. Coordinates ongoing training for staff in an effort to develop their skills utilizing a competency-based trauma-informed approach. Works in collaboration with the Residential Services Supervisor and Senior Residential Services Supervisor to maintain the program mission, philosophy, goals, and objectives. Provides on-the-job training to the Residential Counselors across campus by modeling and teaching Trauma Informed treatment practices, Risking Connections, and MANDT during assigned shifts.
