Assess patients (vital signs, physical condition, symptoms)
•Monitor changes in patient status and report concerns
•Develop and update nursing care plans
•Provide basic and advanced nursing care
•Administer medications (oral, IV, IM, SQ)
•Verify correct medication, dose, route, and timing
•Monitor for side effects or adverse reactions
•Maintain accurate medication records
•Chart assessments, interventions, and patient responses
•Update electronic medical records (EMR)
•Complete incident reports when needed
•Ensure care meets legal and regulatory standards
•Communicate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and the care team
•Educate patients and families about diagnoses, medications, and care plans
•Give shift reports and participate in care conferences
•Start and manage IV lines
•Perform wound care and dressing changes
