· Creates and maintains an environment that translates the mission of eliseo into actions that are conducive to the maximum well-being of the residents served.
· Assures that department services are of appropriate quality and are consistent with eliseophilosophical principles.
· Facilitates coordination among all departments & divisions of eliseo in delivery of services.
· Ensures consistent action is taken by all employees, volunteers, and visitors to comply with HIPAA security/privacy regulations regarding confidential patient records and information.
· Provides oversight of the Life Enrichment and Wellness activity programming, to include entertainment, art, travel, cultural, wellness and educational activities and engages resident participation.
· Insures the eliseoin-house channel content is current and timely.
· Develops, administers, and monitors budgetary operations and investigates discrepancies from established budget.
· Actively coordinates eliseo efforts to positively impact department employees and residents through resident social, wellness, and safety programs.
· Directs the preparation of a variety of reports to help analysis progress, identify trends and outcomes of resident-centered programs.
· Develops, recommends, and implements policies and procedures as may be required to enhance the well-being of residents and employees.
· Administers resident problem resolution processes, taking necessary action to control or eliminate the recurrence of complaints, concerns, and problems by maintaining ‘open door’ policy for residents and families and follows up in appropriate manner.
· Interacts with Federal, State & local government agencies that impact services, programs, and licensing.
· Reports to appropriate personnel on changes in Resident’s health conditions, attitude, and mobility.
· Represents eliseoat professional, health and community organizations, promoting positive public relations.
· Participates in eliseointernal committees as well as other committees designated by the CEO.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages directors and coordinators who oversee department staff and resident programming and is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the departments. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with eliseo policies, procedures, and applicable laws. Responsibilities may include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
