Patient Letters of Appreciation

Most recently in Omaha at Chi Lakeside Hospital that I was assigned a patient who had a fall due to alcohol abuse wrote me a thank you letter after she was discharged thanking me for helping her to get over being embarrassed about her admission to the hospital so she could get the help she needed.

At Thanksgiving time I was in a store shopping and a very young woman came up to me and asked if I remembered her. I do remember her, she was an overdose patient. This young woman said she saw me come in the store and decided that moment she wanted to introduce me to her mother. This girl let me know she was doing better, staying clean and taking steps to continue living because I had not only told her she was valuable I showed her i thought she was which made her believe in herself again.
