I began as a float in 2019 and worked my way up to the lead position, on second shift. I displayed the proper way to clean several departments and wings of the hospital: from the Emergency Room, Med Surg, LDRP, PACU, NEO, and NICU. As well as patient rooms, restrooms, offices, and nurse's stations, to name a few. I have also carried the duties on a floating a charge in communicating with the charge nurse on what areas needed attention and delegating employees in what assignments needed to be done, as to the need and urgency.

Trained new housekeepers on all the following; departmental procedures and provided assistance in finding supplies; proper documentation of each assignment; proper interaction with the patients and visitors in the hospital; monitoring each housekeeper and the assignments throughout the night; coordinating with the Charge Nurse, other nurses and staff members throughout the shift to ensure patient needs are met; performing a specific number of audits and swabs to ensure housekeepers were keeping up to standards; follow up if needed with housekeeper for improvement; filing assignments according to the month and day; filing deep cleaning logs, audits, swabs and invoices; all while doing my own assignment for the night.
