As a PhD candidate in Healthcare Planning and Design and a medical planner, I focus on creating human-centered environments that support both healthcare delivery and user well-being. My research examines how hybrid operating room (OR) design impacts circulating nurses, aiming to reduce burnout and improve workflow and patient outcomes. I’ve contributed to projects for institutions like Cleveland Clinic and Texas Health, working closely with clinicians to ensure design aligns with operational goals. Beyond design practice, I’ve co-authored OR construction manuals and published in leading healthcare design forums. I’m committed to bridging research and practice to shape more effective, empathetic healthcare spaces.
