Title: Using a Cold Atmospheric Plasma Device to Treat Skin Disorders

PI: Dr. Peter C. Friedman, MD

This study examines the efficacy of non-thermal, atmospheric plasma in the treatment of target areas or lesions affected by acne, rosacea, actinic keratosis or warts, using a nanosecond dielectric barrier discharge plasma device. The outcome is the presence or lack of clinical improvement in the investigator’s global assessment and reviewing photo-documentation as well as reflectance confocal microscopy study.

Title: Using Indirect Cold Atmospheric Pressure Plasma (Plasma Activate Liquid) for the Treatment of Hair Loss

PI: Dr. Peter C. Friedman, MD

Interventional study in which self applied cold plasma activated medium is used for androgenetic alopecia over a three- month and six- month period. Primary outcome is the presence of detectable hair growth, which is observed clinically, and evaluation may include photo comparison, hair count and tracheoscopy.
