Performed a variety of complex ultrasound examinations to include: abdomen, breast, thyroid, carotid, obstetrical, female pelvis (transabdominal and transvaginal), vascular, and testicles. Worked closely with registered ultrasound preceptors to gain knowledge and experience in the clinical setting while continuing to further my practical knowledge in the classroom. Over 1,200 hours of clinical experience gathered during multiple rotations.

  • During my time at MPO I was the sole technician working at the private practice helping to care for and promote the wellbeing of the pediatric patients. My duties include opening charts, scheduling appointments, setting up the doctor’s room, as well as testing all patients before they were seen by the doctor, tests include the Allen/Snellen vision test, Ishihara color blindness test, and the Stereo depth perception test. In addition to these duties I also processed EOB’s, submitted claims, sent out recalls, charged cards, and set up patient profiles including scanning in required documents and obtaining referrals. Working at MPO has also allowed me the opportunity to watch out-patient procedures performed by the doctor and assist with newborn patients and the baseline examinations of their eyes.
