  • Designed and developed a robust suite of RESTful microservices to facilitate the creation and retrieval of Card Member Agreements. These services are integral to Chase's front-end systems, enabling real-time processing for both agreement generation and access. The solution ensures customers receive immediate feedback on their credit card applications, allowing for instant credit decisions and seamless onboarding.
  • A key feature of this system is its integration with digital wallet platforms on iOS and Android, empowering customers to instantly store their new credit cards on their mobile devices. This enhances user experience by providing immediate access to credit and supporting modern payment methods.
  • Optimized performance of creation and retrieval processes to meet stringent real-time requirements, effectively managing high transaction volumes.
  • Scalability: Architected the microservices to handle spikes in application traffic, especially during peak periods, without degradation in service quality.
  • Security & Compliance: Implemented robust security measures to protect sensitive customer data and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
  • Integration Complexity: Navigated the technical challenges of integrating with multiple front-end systems and third-party digital wallet providers, ensuring seamless interoperability.
  • Developed fault-tolerant services with comprehensive monitoring and alerting, minimizing downtime and expediting issue resolution.
  • Additionally, architected and implemented a comprehensive tokenization system to safeguard card numbers across the application's APIs. By replacing sensitive card data with secure tokens, this solution significantly reduces the exposure of cardholder information throughout internal and external service interactions.
  • This approach not only strengthens data security but also ensures full compliance with Payment Card Industry (PCI) standards. As a result, the application maintains a high level of trust and integrity, protecting customer information while streamlining regulatory audits and reducing the risk of data breaches.
  • Security Enhancement: Minimized the risk of unauthorized access to cardholder data by ensuring that actual card numbers are never transmitted or stored in API payloads.
  • PCI Compliance: Enabled the entire application ecosystem to meet stringent PCI DSS requirements, facilitating secure payment processing and reducing compliance overhead.
  • System Integration: Overcame challenges in retrofitting tokenization into existing APIs and workflows, ensuring seamless operation without disrupting business processes.
  • Engineered tokenization system to efficiently manage high transaction volumes, ensuring low latency and high reliability.

  • Designed and developed a set of RESTful microservices to make connection and account calls to aggregator vendor, Quovo, to obtain non-chase data and store in Oracle based system of record. Also, designed and built a highly responsive FISearch microservice using Lucene with 24x7 availability. This microservice is directly used in the Chase UI and hence, a critical component. Designed and built RESTful microservices based Publish APIs for ODS, AWM and CWM. All microservices are deployed to Gaia pools with Global Load Balancers and auto scaling. Developed batch process to publish Avro-based Kafka messages to CWM using Spring Kafka. All the development was associated with proper JUnit tests and followed Jules CI/CD pipeline to deploy to production. Led a scrum team of six members across New York and Bangalore to manage the Publish effort. Redesigned long-running batch process for reduced completion time using AWS EMR and Spark.
  • Project: Account Aggregation Of Non-Chase Data (MIDAS)
  • Period: February 2020 – June 2021

  • Designed and developed a new Sparta module to create monthly managed account performance files in vendor specified format. Derived portfolio performance analytics using R calculations from account holdings and transactions. Pentaho Data Integration ETLs call the RESTful web services based R calculations for every managed account to obtain monthly performance and parse the JSON response to prepare the files for vendor. The purpose is to build composites based on account strategy and use the composite returns for lead account attribution and publishing it to FactSet/MorningStar. Due to high volume of accounts there were overall elapsed time performance issues, which were remediated.
  • Generated JPMorgan Online reports from Sparta, facilitating the decommission of Xamin, a vendor product.
  • Project: Global Portfolio Performance (SPARTA)
  • Period: September 2016 – January 2020

  • Completed NA migration of Trade Tower Gateway (TTG) and Validation Enrichment Engine (VET) through AIM. This entailed migration of complexly configured application software from the EMEA platform to the NA platform. TTG is a high volume gateway for trades feeding in from various upstream systems. It processes tens of millions of messages per day. Position service, settlement gateway and other mission critical downstream systems rely on the trade data to be received in a timely manner. TTG transforms messages received in different formats to a common XML format and persists them in Oracle data store. VET validates and enriches trades with security and account reference data by way of RESTful web services. To ensure the new setup was accurate and functioning as expected, we implemented a fully functional production parallel environment that featured a sophisticated solution to funnel upstream production messages to both EMEA and NA. This involved an innovative configuration of MQ artifacts including Topics, Transmit Queues, Sender & Receiver Channels across Queue Managers that successfully maintained the mandated SLAs for message delivery in both environments.
  • Project: Trade Booking Engine (TBE)
  • Period: October 2015 – September 2016

  • BaNCS was chosen as the Asset Servicing system that would replace many of the JPM legacy asset servicing systems. For SCPP, I identified all major input and output data feeds and associated elements for legacy asset servicing systems. We wanted BaNCS to interface with all the inbound and outbound systems like the way it did in legacy systems. Worked closely with BaNCS consultants and created detailed requirement documents and solution documents to ensure the data feeds that were sent/received to/from legacy systems are now sent/received to/from BaNCS. Identified and defined the interfaces for inbound and outbound data feeds to determine the strategic solution for incorporating each feed into BaNCS. Also developed an efficient design for position & trade request/response that succeeded in accomplishing the firm's goal of keeping the vendor product change to a minimum.
  • Led migration of Asset Servicing Application to BaNCS, overseeing complex system integration and documentation processes to enhance operational continuity.
  • Executed project from January 2011 to May 2013, playing a crucial role in transitioning to a modernized asset servicing platform.
