Summary

Current sophomore at Virginia Tech majoring in Computer Engineering, minoring in Computer Science, passionate about ethical and intelligent systems. Experienced in Python, Java, and C++, with IoT, networking, and embedded automation work through the Cognitive Digital Mine Venture's OpenWrt-based geofencing system. I'm also actively involved in undergraduate research applying ensembles of language models for ethics/systems thinking assessment and metaphor detection in qualitative data. I'm currently seeking roles that bridge real-time data processing, AI, and ethical system design for impactful, scalable solutions.

Work History

Software Engineering Intern

Nokia Bell Labs
06.2024 - 09.2025
  • I was a part of the Cognitive Digital Mine Venture which deployed an IoT router and networking solution for industrial mine environments to enable intelligent, location based networking.
  • I worked on a feature which was a geofencing automation system on OpenWrt-based routers, enabling location-triggered actions like network switching and different KPI tests based on real time GPS data.
  • I integrated InfluxDB for GPS telemetry logging, built a polygon-based zone detection engine, and created a dynamic zone manager for real-time action control. The system interfaces directly with edge routers, allowing for responsive, low-latency automation and visualization through Grafana.

Research Assistant

Virginia Tech
01.2025 - Current
  • Undergraduate Research - Dr. Katz
  • Project 1: Ensemble of Models - SETS Classification Using a collection of eight language models to classify entities and concepts as S, E, and T; use this approach to emulate the wisdom of crowds; use it with ethics assessment and systems thinking assessment data.
  • Project 2: Assessment and metaphors Using LLMs to identify analogies and metaphors in interview data (as a way to characterize mental models).
  • Project 3: Analysis of LLM perfomance on large scale policy and state legislation.
