Over the course of last 5 years, worked on several initiatives to success-fully migrate Commercial and State Health Plan line of business from Legacy to Facets platform. Contributed to the Migrations project as a lead to onboard new BA team members on the team. Worked on eliciting requirements for entire Healthcare Lifecycle management by eliciting requirements for Setting up New Healthcare Products, New Provider Networks, Enrollment, Billing, Claims, Vendor extracts, Provider, Integrating Employer & Member portals with Salesforce, Adhoc & Standard Reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Conducted meetings with SME to elicit the business requirements, document User Stories and develop solutions for streamlining interface/processes.
• Elicited and documented both business and functional requirements from Product Owners and application development teams using Agile Scrum/Hybrid methodologies ensuring applicable business processes are reviewed, analyzed, and developed.
• Participated in daily agile, sprint planning, sprint review, and sprint retrospective meetings.
• Managed Epics and Feature backlog to complete goals across scrum teams.
• Responsible for managing requirements in hybrid, and agile methodologies, including elaboration of requirements in the form of functional requirements documents (FRDs), epics into detailed user stories, management of product backlog, release backlog, burn-down chart, and scrum team velocities.
• Streamlined and reduced printing costs by consolidating existing print vendors and optimized printing process.
• Contributed to the project by writing requirements for new web interface for Optimization of Print, Postage and Digital Communication, Provider Data transformation, Provider lifecycle management integration with Salesforce for multiple Lines of business.
• Supported Business and Technical teams in all matters related to Business Intelligence, Analytics & Reporting.
• Worked with technical team to document requirements for Data ingestion, Data Management, FHIR resources/Package and Data Extraction.
• Reduced postage costs and improved efficiency of communications by moving operational communications to digital channels and driving “Go Green” adoption.
• Interacted on a regular basis with the project manager and release manager during different stages of the validation process for enhancement and integration of Member and Producer Portal with Salesforce application.

Under Agile methodology, worked on Cash Operations and Finance Team to build interface for payment feed coming from various vendors in Facets Version 5. Contributed to the project by writing technical requirements for new interface and reports for a product that we are migrating from Legacy system on GBD platform. Apart from this project I worked on sending data feed for Financial Information System and Peoplesoft General ledger to make sure the balancing is done as expected. Worked on building a new health insurance product for Medicare/Medicaid beneficiaries and contributed to the project by eliciting Benefits/Pricing business requirements for Dual Eligible Special Needs plan. Provided production support on issues related to post migration of Provider data in Facets GBD platform

Responsibilities:

• Conducted meetings with SME to elicit the business requirements and develop solutions for streamlining interface/processes
• Documented business requirements for processing 820 Payment file received via EEDI gateway for new payment vendors (ACI , Tanscentra, Mastercard and Moneygram)
• Coordinated meetings with Payment vendors and end client and ensured timely closure of critical issues
• Prepared Proof of concepts for Combined Payment, Staged Payment, Recurring Payment, Banking Data Migration/ACH and FIS/PSGL interface

Worked on various enhancement projects for Life Insurance product and other key project involving building a new product for Universal life portfolio. The scope of the project was to add new riders to existing products and to design an Index universal life product that uses S&P500 index as a benchmark to calculate the return. Worked on full SDLC and contributed to the project by developing business designs, wireframe screens, workflows, preparing test cases and eliciting business requirements for Indexed Universal life insurance and Annuities plan using Agile/Scrum methodology to track the progress of the project

Responsibilities:

• Conducted meetings with Policy owner services, Actuaries, and underwriting area to elicit the business requirements and document User Stories
• Coordinated meetings with senior management and ensured timely closure of critical issues
• Interacted on a regular basis with the project manager and development team during different stages of the product life cycle
• Loaded Standard Forms for Interstate Compact, National and all State specials in policy admin system
• Prepared variable output specs for policy output and Disclosures for ICC, National and state specials
• Validated policy output generated match with final version given by corporate compliance team
• Validated variable values on Data Page, Schedule of Benefits, Policy Face page and Disclosures by running a test program that is provided by Actuarial team
• Defined documerge components and tags that were needed to build policy package
• Settled policies in various testing environment to make sure there were no issues while settling a policy
• Used HP ALM to execute the test plan during testing and managed defects from inception to resolution.

Contributed to the project by gathering requirements as per the client’s need and configuring agreements in application. Worked on analysis and Configuration part in Medical Agreement Configurator, Fee Schedule, and NetworX Qualifier Group
Responsibilities:

• Participated in gathering business requirements, developing functional requirements specs (FRS) and configuration summary documents
• Met with SME’s (Subject Matter Experts) to identify impacts to the system in order to incorporate new enhancements to the system
• Worked on change control procedure to change the existing requirement with the authorization from the business via JAD sessions
• Efficiently Completed configuration requests as assigned, based on approved business requirements
• Worked with technical team to define test data needed for Unit testing and System testing
• Worked on Front End Construction for CSP and validated the build by running SQL in the Backend.

Under the umbrella of major data warehouse CAQH project, worked on developing Operational Data Store for data delivery to various downstream consumers and applications. Data (from major source systems ePRO, PowerMHS & CDB) was streamlined, validated, transformed, and prepared as a feed to CAQH data warehouse. Contributed to the project by Extracting, Transforming and Loading the Data in to ODS.
Responsibilities:

• Interacted with stakeholders to finalize the Business Requirement Document (BRD), performed the requirement analysis and documented the requirements
• Participated in the Change Control meeting; analyzed and estimated the change requests and provided impact analysis of the changes on existing applications
• Responsible for technical on-boarding of a team member with use-case specific training of various tools; Toad to Extract Data, Ultra-edit and Beyond Compare tool for validating data between Source and Target
• Main on-site liaison for offshore QA team to help manage any raised issues and Potential Defects
• Prepared test plan, test cases, use-cases and test schedule for data validation to be done by offshore
• Tracked the test case execution against the plan and managed defects from inception to resolution.

Contributed to the project by developing retail B2B portal and integrate it with Inovis and DiCentral for over 80 major trading partners.The application enabled customers to buy products online and helped in executing retail transactions efficiently and effectively
Responsibilities:

• Convened Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions with the users to elicit requirements and also got an overview of the whole scope of the project
• Interacted with business users to clearly identify business priority and push it down as activities to be performed for under different builds and functions
• Developed user requirement specifications, teaming with internal and external business users
• Liaison responsible, for interacting with the development and testing teams to develop test plans and test cases with an aim to make the process efficient and improve the overall quality of the application
• Lead the QA team with responsibility of developing a Test Schedule and priorities for QA team along with managing, assigning and distributing workload and defects among team members.

Lead the STP project to move from paper based processing environment to electronic image and processing environment in the Life, Annuity and Disability insurance industry.Performed multiple roles in STP project and successfully implemented various sub-projects of STP such as FEI, e-Policy, Dual Synch, FieldNet.
Responsibilities:

• Elicited business requirements by conducting user interviews and participating in Net Meetings
• Interacted with front office, middle office, and back-office users and provided resolution on issues
• Identified key business risks areas for the Rule 2821/FAS 133/IAS39 and mitigate the risks by prioritizing the key tasks in Blue-frog and M&O
• Troubleshoot trade reporting/settlement within M&O, provided new report requirements (PAAR, Logistics, Sales Blotters, Client ranking, and Client Profitability) and application change functional requirement specifications (FRS) to the development team
• Provided support to operations team with issues on EOD evaluation, sub-ledger posting, and exceptions based processing.
