Project Description:

The system enables the world's most successful retailers to bring innovative and highly profitable private label products to market at record speed. It is an integrated system which allows the retailers to run their business properly by providing different retail business phases like planning, product development, Sourcing, ordering, Material Management, Sales Order, PLM, Quality, Logistics and Finance in a single view.

Project Roles and Responsibilities:

• Manual Testing and Reviewing Functional design document and updating Functional test cases
• Writing process flow document which includes business scenarios.
• Involved in System Testing and Regression Testing
• Interaction with Product design team, e-mail, phone or remote login and clarifying doubts & remote assistance.
• Collaborated with management to provide training on improved processes and assisted with creation and maintenance of quality training.

Project: MFP-CPE (Multi Functional Peripheral

- Current Product Engineering)

Client : Hewlett Packard, US

HP (Hewlett Packard) is a well known U.S. based company which supplies MFPs (Multi Functional Peripheral) all over the world. It provides a wide range of MFPs to meet different customer-requirements. Wipro Technologies provide service for MFPs 9.0, Legolas and KMC.

This project involves testing of Firmware code for various models like hp LaserJet 4345,hp LaserJet 4730, hp LaserJet3035, hp LaserJet 5035 Multifunctional Peripherals (MFPs).

The Testing types employed in this project are Regression testing, Functional testing, Performance Testing, Duration testing, and Adhoc testing.

We are testing the new features that are going to be implemented in the new release. In addition, it involves normal testing where in we will run the test cases of regression suites so that the build that is going to be at the customer’s place is defect free. This CPE project involves releasing the new firmware for every two to three months so that they can support customers as early as possible.

These MFP’s support features like Digital Sending Process such as Internet Fax, LAN Fax, Analog Fax, Email, Workflow, Send To Folder. We are testing our product using 3 applications:

EWS (Embedded Web Server): This is the Web application using this we can take the control of the MFP by entering the IP and configuring the various futures like Authentication and Addressing using different type of Server (Kerberos, LDAP), SMTP for email notification for each Digital sending job, by importing some 3rd party files (JAR) can configure some additional functionalities and we can configure even normal functionalities (Email, Send to Network Folder) using different network paths.

WJA (Web Jet Admin): This is also one of the most useful Web application support to configure and control multiple MFPs by entering their IP addresses, also support to upgrade multiple MFPs at a time and to view their status, using this we configure Email, Addressing, Authentication for multiple MFPs.

DSS (Digital Sending Software): DSS is one of the 3rd party application using this we can configure all the digital sending jobs, MFP functionalities(Email, Workflow, Send to Folder, LAN Fax, Internet Fax), Authentication and addressing also can manage using this application, we can import the addresses from various servers.

Project Roles and Responsibilities

• Writing Test Cases and Test Case Execution on Printer qualification.
• Manually done ad-hoc and exploratory Testing on different functionality and got appreciation from onsite team for finding good ad-hoc.
• Responsible for Regression, Localization testing on respective products.
• Qualifying build by doing Pre-health check
• Qualifying basic features by running BFT’s (Basic Functionality Test) once the new build is released.
• Verifying Failed Test Cases and updating the same in HP-Quality Centre.
• Logging DIMS and MIMS logs for defect which is found while doing ad-hoc test.
