Community Service

Kids Doc on Wheels Mobile Clinic (15 hours)

  • I worked in tandem with other medical professionals to triage, take vitals of and evaluate pediatric patients in need of or desiring medical attention. This experience is focused on providing families with minimal or no adequate access to healthcare with free, outstanding medical care. (2024-Current)

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta (355 hours)

  • I was paired to a youth individual from an underserved community, military family and/or a community with a poor educational system. I am responsible for acting as their “big sister”, which includes committing to a biweekly schedule to meet with my “little” to bond, mentor, and provide whatever they may need from me at that time. The hope of this organization is to help pave the way for children who are at statistically higher risks for mental health illnesses, incarceration, and poverty due to an increased number of adversities. (2022-Current)

Lift Up Atlanta Volunteer (10 hours)

  • Assisted in wrapping and handing out toys as Christmas gifts to children and their families who came were unable to afford gifts. This was such a rewarding experience, as we sometimes tend to take for granted the possessions we have access to. Seeing the pure joy caused by such a simple action only motivated me to continue work hard within our community. (2022)

Home of Hope at Gwinnett Children's Center Volunteer (3 hours)

  • I am responsible for taking charge and providing activities for the children to do while their mothers are busy. These activities could include arts and crafts, games, reading and storytelling. I have to be innovative, compassionate and a great listener in order to form bonds with the kids, so that their mothers can focus on the task at hand for the time being. (2022)

Paint Gwinnett Pink Volunteer (5 hours)

  • I was responsible for this 5K Breast cancer awareness run through Northside Hospital by spreading awareness through conversing with people about it, passing out flyers and phone case stickers. I then participated in the run itself where the proceeds went to the local survivors as well as Northside Hospital Gwinnett’s breast cancer center. (2022)

Ubuntu 4 Youth (400 hours)

  • As a chair in Gwinnett, I would assist in spreading awareness and organizing events at my school (Georgia Gwinnett College). Additionally, I am part of Ubuntu’s “SWAP” program, which is a program where we mentor young ladies in communities with low graduation rates and educational attainment. At times my job would be to go into the schools and assist my volunteer coordinator in holding anti-bullying and mental health seminars for the students. Our organization also partners with Loads of Love, Habitat for Humanity, Adopt-A-Road, and United Way to perform other community-based services. (2022-Current)

Cardiac Floor Volunteer (352 hours)

  • As a cardiology floor volunteer, my responsibilities include but are not limited to; rounding on patient's rooms and maintaining bedside manner, assisting with patient discharges, answering phone calls for the clinician or unit secretary, replenishing supplies, assisting the nursing staff with any of their assigned tasks, and overall creating a smooth environment to boost patient experiences. I observed how everyone on the floor, including volunteers, works as a team and played an equally important role in the overall hospital flow. (2022-Current)

Miami Police Athletic League Volunteer (36 hours)

  • In this position, I was responsible for leading and directing youth soccer and baseball matches. Often times I would orchestrate team huddles, referee or keep the score of these games as the children played. This position taught me the importance of leadership and the formulation of successful plans in order to evoke a smooth team flow. (2015)
