I am an independent virtual YouTuber (VTuber) active on Chinese social media platforms. I create gaming livestream content and cover songs, and I handle all aspects of my video production—recording, editing, and post-production—by myself. This hands-on process has given me a deep familiarity with editing software and a strong sense of what kind of videos resonate with audiences.
I also enjoy creating concept-driven videos that build immersive worlds for my VTuber persona. Through these videos, I tell stories set within those fictional universes. I see this as a unique and effective way to combine design, video production, and media storytelling.
I started teaching myself After Effects in middle school. I began taking freelance commissions from China and Japan in high school on Chinese social media platforms such as Bilibili. Most of the work involved creating cover or original music videos and promotional videos (PV) for Chinese YouTubers and VTubers. I also produced debut concept videos for VTuber clients.
As I progressed through high school, I began integrating 3D elements into my video projects, allowing me to create more complex video types, such as 静止画(static-style)MADs (a genre where still manga are animated in After Effects to tell a story) and BGA (Background Animations designed for rhythm games).
I was also responsible for promotional trailers for games released on Steam and stage visuals (VJing) for the Chinese indie band “Galaxy Letters (银河快递).” Throughout this time, I’ve remained closely connected with other creators in this field, collaborating on a variety of experimental and commissioned video projects.
