1. Provide and ensure service delivery by means of inspections, monitoring and tracking of problems within the Region.
2. Track, evaluate and monitor physical inspections and provide feedback in terms of the information received from the relevant call logging / tracking system, the Public Participation database and Visible Service Delivery task team meetings by means of:
3. Execute special inspections on critical issues by means of:
· Providing and ensuring efficient resolution of issues raised by Management, internal departments and members of public by means of telephone calls, letters or e-mails addressed to responsible officials.
· Conducting physical inspections to determine the extent (origin, symptoms and impact) of each problem issue.
4. Ensure regular attendance, active participation and involvement in the ongoing improvement of systems such as the IDP, SDF, SDBIP and RSDF processes so as to be able to provide relevant feedback and advice on ward specific issues at ward committee meetings.
5. Liaise and maintain an effective working relationship with the community, ward Councilors’, all relevant Council departments, Business Stakeholders, Provincial and National Government Departments so that there is a stable network of support and a clear understanding of the needs of the Region.
6. Provide information to facilitate the development of the growth and development/spatial strategies and business plans of the Region (eg. IDP, RSDF and SDBIP).
7. Conduct inspections on the infrastructure and facilities of all Council departments and MEs in the Region and report on their status.
8. Report on the actual progress of all capital projects identified in the area.
9. Compile and escalate all unresolved service delivery failures to the necessary entity or department.
10. Participate actively in campaigns relating to by-law enforcement in the Region.
11. Participate in all Regional activities as required by the Group Head and Regional Director of the Region.
12. Coordinate monthly Joburg 10 Plus Programme meetings in conjunction with the ward Councilors and take minutes of the meeting.
Participate and assist with urban cleansing campaigns as scheduled in the region.
