Work History

Recruitment Director

Teach for America
01.2021 - Current
  • As a Recruitment Director, I execute visions and lead strategic plans for campaigns, identify and cultivate diverse top prospects to act, and inspire a broad network of constituents to build a large, diverse, and talented corps.
  • In service of this, I support scheduling and planning impactful meetings, events, and training through team-wide calendar management, as well as agenda design and facilitation.
  • Additionally, I steward powerful partnerships to support potential teachers, our organization, and the universities we partner with, in response to the dynamic data we are seeing.
  • For my team, this may look like designing and facilitating development sessions, analyzing how we’re supporting the recruitment of a diverse corps. For students and universities, this might look like creating a partnership between the UC Berkeley Transfer Student Center and planning events to best support student needs, like LinkedIn workshops.
  • 2024 Pursue Equity Spark Award Recipient

Troop Leader Assistant

Radical Monarchs
01.2021 - Current
  • As the San Francisco RTLA, I manage our troop calendar, attendance, legal forms, family communication, and co-plan dynamic and engaging systems for our Monarchs
  • This can look like: sending weekly family emails regarding upcoming sessions and events, reaching out to families regarding Monarch needs, as well as designing culture keeping systems to incentivize Monarch buy in and engagement

Holistic Life Coach

SG Coaching
01.2021 - Current
  • As a holistic life coach, I utilize powerful questions, direct communication, and inquisitive dialogue to empower my clients to identify what their highest self looks like, then planning to reach that ideal
  • I specialize in supporting Black, Indigenous, and other people of color, looking to align their desires with their actions to lead a values-based life

Native Recruitment Captain

Teach for America
01.2022 - 01.2023
  • I was responsible for setting a vision and designing strategies in service of our Native recruitment goal
  • In the 2022 and 2023 recruitment seasons, I led my team to recruit the highest number of Native prospects out of all the recruitment team, a full deadline ahead of schedule
  • In this role, I have designed strategies to provide my team extensive community professional development in service of supporting the Native prospects we meet
  • I hold folks accountable for attending these learning opportunities, reflecting on what they learn, and bringing these learning back to the communities we serve
  • This has allowed my team to take a culturally competent approach to Native recruitment and has allowed us to exceed our quantitative goals at 116%

English Department Chair

Making Waves Academy
01.2018 - 01.2019
  • As the English content lead, I facilitate meetings around curriculum alignment and DEI development for teachers, as well as planning projects and units that are culturally relevant and responsive to students’ current dynamic interests, needs, and data
  • One approach to DEI development for my team was leading our group in a book club around antiracist intersectional texts, engaging in implicit bias assessments, and using those learnings to inform our plans for the school year
  • These texts and assessments were then used to frame how I lead data meetings around student achievement and equitable instruction, focusing on critical learner subgroups
