Sierra Merritt

My name is Sierra Merritt, I am a fourth-year biochemistry major with an interest in forensic science, from Newark, New Jersey. My academic journey has provided me multiple hands on laboratory experience, from quantitative and qualitative analysis to organic chemistry, all which have strengthened my technical skillset analytical mindset.

I am eager to expand my laboratory and research skills with hands-on experiences that challenge me to apply classroom techniques to real-world problems. My strong attention to detail, ability to organize and plan, and collaborative nature make me a strong candidate from laboratory experiences. In the long term, gaining opportunities to develop these skills will prepare me for a future career in science where I can contribute to future research.
