I am in the final stretch of the UAF CTC Paramedic Academy. Upon completion I will be searching for employment as a Paramedic in the state of Alaska so that I may provide for my family and serve my community, as well as further my career and become the best care provider I can be.
In the summer of 2025 I was hired as an EMT-1 for the Sitka Fire department fresh out of EMT school. While working with them I developed my skills in regards to patient care, operations, and documentation. I was fortunate to participate in several boat fires, MCI trainings, joint operations with the US Coast Guard, and patient care in remote wilderness settings. I was able to develop and demonstrate leadership capabilities as the lead EMT, and learned how to better work in high-stress environments with other agencies personnel.
I was born and raised in a rural Alaskan town, enjoying hobbies such as hunting, trapping, fishing, and wrestling. My parents and various instructors throughout the years have taught me the importance of honest hard work and respect, which has shaped my attitude to attain excellence in whatever task I’m a part of. I’ve fostered an interest in the world of medicine, especially that of emergency medical services; I plan to become a paramedic and also work with the Alaska State Troopers as part of their SWAT/SRT/SAR operations.
