LEADERSHIP

  • AUGUST 2023 – PRESENT TRAFFIC CONTROL TECHNICIAN, HUDSON SAFE-T-LITE | Following completion of my Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Puget Sound, I began pursuing a career in construction health and safety. As a Traffic Control Technician, I have gained extensive field experience supporting construction and public works projects throughout San Diego. I read and interpret Traffic Control Plans (TCPs), measure distances, prepare Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), and identify potential hazards in active construction environments. I work directly with construction crews, project supervisors, and inspectors to maintain safe and compliant work zones. My experience includes working on projects involving Caltrans, the City of San Diego, SDG&E, and other public and private organizations while applying traffic-control, OSHA, and workplace safety standards.
  • AUGUST 2020 – MAY 2023 ASSOC. OF STUDENT-ATHLETES OF COLOR (ASAC), UNIV. OF PUGET SOUND | I created, manufactured, tested, and fitted this organization as a co-founder with four others to construct a safe space for student-athletes of color. This space was meant to educate, have fun, and help them feel comfortable with their identities on a predominantly white institution. We also did collaborative fundraising events to provide funds that we give back to the community.
  • NOVEMBER 2020 – MAY 2021 DIRECTOR OF EQUITY, INCLUSION, AND JUSTICE, UNIV. OF PUGET SOUND | I worked closely with organizational leadership and board of directors to strategically affect operational direction. We established performance goals for fraternity and sorority departments and provided feedback on methods for reaching those milestones.
  • AUGUST 2018 – MAY 2021 STUDENT-ATHLETE ADVISORY COMMITTEE (SAAC), UNIV. OF PUGET SOUND | I started as a member in the beginning of 2018 and then I became a secretary of the executive board in 2019. Furthermore, I became the vice-president in 2020. We advocate for student-athletes by providing insight on the student-athlete experience. Our group mostly does community service work through hosting our annual fundraising events. We inform and enforce NCAA policies and procedure through involvement and representation at NCAA National Conferences.
  • AUGUST 2022 -MAY 2023 VARSITY CAPTAIN, UNIV. OF PUGET SOUND | Captain of the track and football team. I was the number one leading rusher as a running back for two years in a row in the Division III North West Conference. I was awarded Most Valuable Player, Offensive Back of the Year, and I claimed my school record for most rushing yards in a single game (318 yards).
  • AUGUST 2016 - MAY 2018 VARSITY CAPTAIN, LAGUNA CREEK HIGH SCHOOL | Captain of the varsity wrestling and football team. I was a Wrestling CIF Sac Joaquin Master’s Qualifier. In addition, I was also a Track & Field Divisionals Qualifier.
