Work History

THSA Product Engineer Internship

Collins Aerospace
04.2022 - 10.2022
  • During my internship, I had to respond to my supervisor's demands. He provided me with a set of specifications that I had to meet. My job was to meet the requirements of this specification, which included various tasks. The Creation of an Excel file gathering the main characteristics of the THSA ( Trimmable Horizontal Stabilizer Actuator) on A 320 & A 330.
  • The performance the actuator should reach. That involved heavy calculations and reproduction of the performance graph of the main mechanical part of the actuator. Based on the result I deducted the best range of efficiency for the actuator and where we could improve the performance of it.
  • The reliability and the safety of the actuator. Studied the most catastrophic failures and the systems implemented to prevent them.
  • Evaluation of materials used for the system.
  • The different organization of the electrical circuit of the actuator.
  • I also helped engineers develop product design specifications and requirements that would improve the THSA performances and efficiency.
  • Investigated customer complaints, exclusively Airbus, to determine the root cause of product failure or extensive wear.
  • Evaluated existing processes and implemented process improvements to increase efficiency.
  • Conducted performance tests on prototype products and analyzed results.
  • Provided technical support to sales teams, enabling them to better communicate product benefits and features to customers.
  • Provided clear and timely technical data required for design and specification of product.
  • Directed, guided and monitored support engineers and in-house operational personnel.
  • Interpreted blueprints, technical drawings, schematics and computer-generated reports for product conformance with engineering design and performance specifications.

Automobile Mechanic

Norauto
07.2021 - 08.2021
  • Basic automobile knowledge of transmission, braking, and wheel alignment.
  • I used to diagnose car troubles, fix breakdowns with their technical knowledge and tool expertise, and perform maintenance to keep cars running smoothly. This experience allowed me to develop problem-solving skills, mechanical aptitude, and strong communication to not only solve car issues but also build trust with customers and co-workers.

Education

Master of Science - Mechanical Engineering

University of Arizona
Tucson, AZ
03-2026

Master of Engineering - Aerospace Engineering

University of Arizona
Tucson, AZ
12.2023

Master of Science - Aeronautical Engineering (mechanical)

IPSA Engineering School
10.2022

Skills

  • Proficiency in CAD software, SolidWorks, and Catia I am a skilled modeler who can create complex designs, assemble components, and generate detailed drawings
  • I happened to also understand Matlab Indeed I can code efficiently, leveraging built-in functions and toolboxes to tackle technical tasks in engineering, science, and mathematics
  • I have some experience with Ansys, notably building complex models, and running simulations for stress, and heat transfer I had to identify potential weaknesses and optimize the design of the structure for one of my projects in composite materials
  • During my coursework, I had to Familiarize myself with the Finite Element Method In that regard, Patran/Nastran is a software I also happen to understand I created detailed models of structures applying loads and constraints, and generating meshes for accurate analysis

Certification

  • Various ranges of tool handling especially in the automobile industry.
  • Manufacturing for composite, especially the process that involves laying up the materials in molds and creating various shapes
  • Prototyping: testing designs early, get feedback, and refine them before committing to manufacturing

Affiliations

  • Project master: design of a wing for a wind tunnel. done in 2023. The premise of the project was to design a wind gust generator for the wind tunnel of the University of Arizona. After a thorough examination of the relevant literature on the subject, I opted for a design of the wing called NACA-0015. After choosing the profile of our vannes I had to meet the required performances to produce a gust wind and to fit the wind tunnel of the University. First I had to design the beam which would support the aerodynamics load. I used Matlab to determine the radius of the beam and the amount of of movement allowed for the wing without ever being in contact with the wall of the wind tunnel. Then I designed the rib that sustained other mechanical load using Solidworks and making simulation using the software.
  • Project Master: Creation of a Catia articulated leg. Done in 2021. For this project we had to work with a company that design and sell prothesis. In order to create an articulated leg that would be helping person in their day to day life me and my classmates had to work closely with the company. the whole design of the leg was done on catia.
  • Project Master: Python coding of the finite element method. Done in 2021. This one is self explanatory me and my classmates coded the Finite Element Method using Python.
