Accomplishments

  • These are my accomplishments as an applications programming developer and analyst:
  • 1. Currently, I am developing decision modeling system to predict overall customer satisfaction of ridership for NJ Transit trains and buses.
  • 2. Analyzed regular quarterly customer satisfaction survey results and produced reports used by senior management in making policy decisions.
  • 3. As senior data scientist at Citibank, using logistic regression techniques in SAS and SAS Enterprise Miner, designed, I developed models for predicting account activity and revenue potential for segments of the credit card. I also developed and implemented in production system acquisition credit scoring models for credit card business. These models basically predicted probability (PD) to default and helped company reduce risk. I also built a model that revised the over the credit line POS approval process for Citibank’s Business Card improve the process and increase revenue.
  • 4. As a consultant and data scientist at Cablevision, I performed market segmentation analysis using SAS Enterprise Miner and Enterprise Guide to aid in target marketing. Using ETL techniques, I gathered the data, audited for validity, chose the most relevant information, and developed the model and presented results to the client. The questionnaire would be used by district managers to rate potential representatives and allow the managers to better manage them. I also used these techniques on a test of a beauty computer sales aid to determine its effectiveness as a sales tool.
  • 7. At NPD Group I developed production market and sales reporting tool using SAS macro and SAS ODS. This tool produced XML reports for the web reporting.
  • 8. At Direct Brands, I developed automated reporting systems in both SAS, SAS Macro Language, and SQL Server for sales, fraud and losses that helped the company better monitor its business. Presented results to marketing and credit groups.
  • 9. At 1800flowers.com maintained and enhanced weekly and monthly metric reporting used by senior management.
  • 10. As an economic analyst at the NYC Office of Management and Budget I developed and maintained an econometric model of employment and income by industry for NYC, the only model for a municipality in the US.
