Simran Kaur

As a student volunteer in the medical department, my objective is to actively engage with healthcare professionals, patients, and fellow volunteers to enhance the overall patient experience. Through my service, I seek to acquire a deeper insight into medical procedures, foster a sense of empathy and understanding towards patients, and collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to contribute positively to the department's operations while expanding my knowledge of medical practices.

Participated in helping at Community Regional Medical Center during the summer of 2018

• Attended a 3 week Pre-Collegiates Summer Program at Stanford University in 2018
• Medical Internship/ Surgeon Shadowing summer of 2019
• Shadowing a medical provider in local hospitals 2022- current
• Attended a fifteen day internship is Accra, Ghana, Africa
• Shadowed physicians in Chandigarh, India (three times)

• Titled as Miss Fresno Punjaban 2013 & 2019
• Coordinated cultural dance events
• 162 trophies and medals for participating in dances
• Best Dancer in PCA (Punjabi Cultural Association)
• Best Dancer in GHG Dance Academy
• Miss USA Punjaban 2021 (Second Runner Up)
• UCSF Medical School Merit Award
