Research field: Surface Chemistry, Heat Transfer, Mechanics of Materials, Polymeric Coatings, Hydrogen energy storage

Responsibilities: Design of experiments, Data analysis, Lab management, Inventory and vendor communication, Shipping and handling, Mentoring new employees, Writing papers, Graphic design, and Inter-laboratory collaborations.

Projects & Accomplishments:

1. Advanced functional coatings:

• Certified the coating with an industrial partner.
• Prepared and sent orders for on-site applications (e.g. “Vanilla” ice drone by NASA).

2. Low-pressure hydrogen storage:

• Designed and developed the experimental setup.
• Provided the list of materials to increase the hydrogen storage capacity.

4. Thermal imaging as a non-destructive corrosion detection technique:

• Completed proof of concept stage for the test case.
• Imaging and image processing on the samples provided by the industrial partner.

Lasers in Medical Physics and Electro-Acoustics lab

Research field: Digital image processing, Low level laser irradiation, Architectural electro-acoustics

Responsibilities: Experimental research, Lab organization, Inter-laboratory collaborations

Projects & Accomplishments:

• Collected data and FFT analysis in architectural acoustics to reduce the reverberation time (RT) of a dome from 13.2 s to 0.1 s.
• Conducted research on the theory and experimental results of vertical high-voltage water bridge
• Developed a non-destructive, low-cost, and rapid thickness measurement technique for liquid thin films.
• Conducted experiment on ultra-sound pulse therapy on cancer cells (collaboration with Tehran University).
