I was an undesignated seaman working in different fields. I performed preservation maintenance on aircraft carriers in the Deck department. I then finished the rest of my contract in the S-7(MWR), where I was an MWR Representative. Some of my responsibilities included:

• Coordinating and hosting events for 3000+ sailors and their families.
• Selling tickets and handling cash/ card readers.
• Ensuring the safely of all sailors while transporting them to their off base sites, as well as upkeeping and maintaining transport ships.
• Directed ship navigation and route preparation.
• Oversaw cargo handling and inspected anchoring, mooring, fueling, towing, and transferring of personnel and cargo.
• Oversaw underway replenishment procedures to maintain equipment used in unloading and loading cargo.
• Handled landing signalman responsibilities on air-capable ships and as coxswain on RHIB (rigid-hulled inflatable boast).
• Protected ship and personnel by signaling passing vessels with flashing lights, flags, radios and whistles, verified presence of cargo-handling gear, lifesaving equipment and dredging gear prior to departures.
• Stood watch during specified periods and determined geographical position of ship.
