Store inventory can be used to fulfill orders originated from REI.com, if the item is on the eligibility list. For items other than these, DTC fulfillment will be allowed only if the order can be fulfilled from one or more Distribution Centers. Note that store inventory values would continue to be published from Sterling to REI.com for all items, however only the eligible items would be considered for store fulfillment of REI.com orders. This behavior would be controlled at the SKU level based upon maintenance conducted in SAP and passed to REI.com at the SKU level via ESB.
Provisioning Gateway Core (PGCore) is considered as the Master URI for providing category/catalog details, client upgrades and skin updates for mobile client devices. Mobile clients access PGCore periodically to get the possible updates. PGCore processes client’s first request and provides appropriate URL information for catalogs and application upgrades. The catalog URL information is used by the client for communication with the Content Gateway for further request processing.PGCore Service is configured via Admin User Interface (PGAdmin UI).Samsung Content Gateway (CG) acts as an interface between retailer Backends that serve content for mobile devices and the Samsung Client application. The main purpose of the CG is to communicate with the Samsung Client using the Samsung Protocol and offer retailer Backends a programmable interface to integrate with the system. Client sends the first request to the Provisioning Gateway with the client information in XML form and the gateway would respond back with the Urls of the Content Gateway. It would evaluate the incoming requests based on the information sent from the client and then would send back the appropriate response. All the configurations are stored in the backend database. CG is intended to be a lightweight application, which can be very easily deployed into use. All that will be needed from the retailers is to deploy the services used by the offered interface to integrate with the CG and thus to the Samsung Client.
