Billing Coordinator: Private Duty Nursing & SPOTs

• Onboard new Providers and ODHS staff to PDN billing process; provide technical training in MMIS (Medicaid Medical Information System) and other relevant systems
• Onboard new CIIS SPOTs cardholders, provide technical training, and continue to deliver training to staff and providers regarding new and/or changes to policy and procedure
• Review PDN billing submissions for completion and compliance with established criteria; authorize payment or initiate corrective action to resolve issue
• Review SPOTs reconciliation packets from cardholders for completion and compliance with OFS rules; initiate corrective action as necessary

Other Duties Include

• Maintain Private Duty Nursing records for CIIS
• Explain and Clarify agency/program/Medicaid rules, processes, and procedures to internal and external stakeholders
• Maintain Qualified Entity Designee certification (current through 2025), and Perform pre-enrollment background checks
• Support management team with notetaking, report creation, scheduling, and other secretarial tasks
• Support administrative team with record management, office coordination, and projects as necessary

Scoutmaster, Troop 7015 & 9015

• Responsible for training and guiding youth leaders in operation of their troop; continually coaching all youth to become effective leaders who achieve positive outcomes
• Accountable for ensuring that all youth and adults have received required training for their position, as well as several mandatory safety trainings each year
• Enhanced scout engagement, and improved scout retention, by incorporating hands-on learning activities and real-world experiences through careful collaboration with community partners
• Organized more than 100 successful camping trips, hikes, and community service events to promote team building and leadership skills among members. Personally instructed at most of these
• Fostered positive environment that encouraged scouts to pursue personal growth and learning through completion of various merit badges and personal challenges

Leave No Trace Trainer, Level 1 certification

• Travel throughout Oregon and Washington to facilitate outdoor ethics trainings for adults and youth
• Develop training materials to support national curriculum
• Adjust presentation, and adapt teaching style to accommodate diverse audiences

National Youth Leadership Training

• NYLT is advanced youth leadership training course facilitated by BSA Scouts

2023: Scoutmaster

2025: Course Director

• Primary role is to train youth staff to train youth participants and run 10 -day program themselves. Essentially 'train-the-trainers', ensure national curriculum is delivered, oversee safety, and role-model desired leadership attributes. This is done via in-person and virtual trainings
• Spend 2 weeks on Mt. Hood to deliver this program each year; as well as put in more than 1000 hours of preparation into staff development and staff trainings
• Helped create Association to protect NYLT resources and ensure this program continues to be available
