Bethesda North Hospital
  • At Bethesda North I practiced on 6300 and 5200 wings. The 5200 wing is the Clinical Decision unit. On this unit I practiced nursing skills like administering medication, collecting I&Os, performing assessments, and placing IVs. 6300 is the Ortho wing. On this wing I assessed patients before and after surgeries and even had the opportunity to go into the OR during surgery.

Mellon Ridge Alternative Living Situations
  • At Mellon Ridge I practiced positively communicating with and assessing patients who have chronic mental illnesses.

Select Hospital
  • At select hospital I cared for patients on ventilators and with trachs, patients that had stage III and IV pressure ulcers and patients with large wounds and wound vacs. I preformed trach/vent care, wound care for pressure ulcers and I assisted in taking out stitches and measuring wound beds of large wounds.
