Over my high school and early adult life, I have been fortunate enough to have jobs where I have been able to learn skills and life lessons that I will be able to apply in the future. With being a janitor and a hardscape technician, I know what it means to work hard, and I have also grown a great appreciation for people who do work behind the scenes. Some of my big attributes that have formed from these jobs are being a team player, learning to excell in the area in which you work, and always staying humble to be open to learn new things.
Working as a Hardscape Technician, my job is assist and work along side the foreman in creating plans on how to make outdoor living spaces. I also assist the foreman in building outdoor living areas such as walk ways, retaining walls, patios, and fire pits. My job within the company also goes outside of just hardscaping. Some of my other roles in the company is to lead or work with the landscape and the mowing crew.
My role as a church janitor was to keep the church clean and neat each week to insure a good environment for church goers each Sunday. As a Janitor I cleaned the sanctuary, learning classrooms, the church kitchen, and all the bathrooms within the building.
