Air Transportation Manager

(SMSgt, 2T291 Superintendent) October 2024 - Present - Drill Status Guardsmen (Part-time)
109th Airlift Wing, NYANG, Stratton Air Guard Base
09.2006 - Current
  • In my current role, I'm a passionate and detail-oriented Air Transportation Manager with comprehensive experience in managing air cargo and passenger operations for the Air Transportation Functions (ATF) Alpha, Bravo, and Charlie Flights.
  • I assign roles and responsibilities for daily operations during drill weekends, ensuring compliance with set timelines and priorities while remaining committed to maintaining the safety, efficiency, and timely delivery of personnel and materiel to support mission operations.
  • I have demonstrated expertise in managing logistical operations, ensuring compliance with military regulations (USTRANSCOM Defense Transportation Regulation, AFI 24-605, Foreign Clearance Guide, AFMAN 24-604, etc.), and optimizing resource utilization to support local and global operations.
  • Most recently, while deployed to Shaw AFB, SC, I applied the skills I have learned and developed over my career to manage a seven-airman team as the Airlift Control Team Senior Non-Commissioned Officer (SNCO). I was responsible for developing strategic air transportation plans, ensuring compliance with 9th Air Force K4 Air Tasking Orders to fortify Central Command's defensive posture by re-positioning an F-18 strike squadron during imminent hostile actions against United States, Coalition, and Partner Nation forces, particularly in response to Houthi aggression.
  • My commitment to training and enhancing team capabilities while maintaining compliance with the Air Transportation Career Field Education and Training Plan (CFETP) remains unwavering.
  • Guaranteeing effective and efficient training at appropriate times in individuals' development, setting Airmen up for success when taking on new roles and responsibilities in preparation for emergent duties.

Air Terminal Manager (Rank – MSgt / 2T271 Craftsmen)

09.2021 - 09.2024
  • I formerly managed Bravo Flight, Air Terminal Operations Center, and Vehicle Control Officers drill operations.
  • I manage and lead operations in Ramp, Passenger Services, Cargo, Hazardous Material Inspection, Joint Inspections, Load Planning, Vehicle Operations, and Air Transportation duty training. I am also the Air Terminal Functions Airmen Leadership Qualities (ALQ) program manager.

The current mission statement is to detect and deter terrorism in the Division of Military and Naval Affairs in Latham, NY, by providing force protection, site patrolling, and intelligence collection through interaction with the public and agency partners in the region. I provide direct supervision and mentorship to all 28 airmen and soldiers in the company, promoting a cohesive and effective team atmosphere. Guiding professional development, coaching, mentoring, offering counseling, and confirming service members are aware of and can achieve their career goals.
