- Echo Co. 1st PLT is a joint military operation of 28 personnel from the NY Air and the NY Army National Guard. The current mission statement is to detect and deter terrorism in the Division of Military and Naval Affairs in Latham, NY, by providing force protection, site patrolling, and intelligence collection through interaction with the public and agency partners in the region. I provide direct supervision and mentorship to all 28 airmen and soldiers in the company, promoting a cohesive and effective team atmosphere. - Administration incorporates maintaining daily/bi-weekly/yearly scheduling, payroll verification and submission, and any service member pay-related issues.
- As the supply sergeant, I maintain on average $150,000 worth of mission-critical NY assets, including personal issue equipment that varies from firearms and holsters to weather-related clothing and force protection vehicles.
- Training manager responsibilities include coordinating the yearly M17 and M4 weapons qualification. Local law enforcement or agency partner training, when it becomes available.
