Senior CAE Engineer

• Performed full vehicle virtual assessments for various load cases such as idle shake, road noise, road shake, powertrain noise, and exhaust noise etc. for different programs.
• Identified load path for current production vehicle body structure at early stage of program by making use of Topology Optimization. Recommended and implemented number of cross members/ structural reinforcements and their position.
• Performed subsystem level analysis on different components such as Air Induction System, Exhaust System, Cooling Module, Door speaker Active Noise Cancellation to ensure they meet sub system target before integrating into full vehicle.
• Coordinated finite element models built for BIW, trimmed body, chassis and subsystems at different steps of program.
• Assessed modal, static stiffness, point mobility, and acoustic sensitivity for body and chassis structures using CAE tools and developing design solutions to address NVH issues.
• Worked closely with vehicle development, NVH lab, and design teams to identify and resolve NVH issues.
• Worked on various cost reduction projects to optimize designs for weight and cost.
• Provided feedback to release engineers to execute any design changes to ensure NVH performance is met.

• Low and mid frequency vehicle CAE NVH analyses: focused on identifying and solving vibration and acoustic issues for specific global programs.
• Developed design solutions to address NVH issues.
• Performed trimmed body and Semi-system CAE assessment for seats, battery tray and fan shroud.
• Worked on improving performance of exhaust hangers on both frame and exhaust side.

• Coordinated model build, analysis, and drive issue resolution across functions and attributes (Body / Chassis / Powertrain/ Durability / Safety/ NVH).
• Planned for future CAE processes, methods, tools, and infrastructure needs.
• Developed and maintained CAE Metric list to track down all assessments, delays and forecasts.
• Coordinated with suppliers to receive steering wheel, Steering Column models and assembled them as per required configuration.
• Performed analysis to meet Modal/Stiffness targets and validated frequency response functions.
