Somayyeh Ariyanfar

English Language Teacher, IELTS Trainer, and PhD Researcher at the University of Rochester, focusing on human–machine interaction in knowledge representation, reasoning, and writing. I am developing Edprep AI, an interdisciplinary innovation addressing AI overuse and promoting mindful AI use. My goal is to design educational AI tools that enhance learning and thinking, with applications across education, marketing, banking, military, public relations, and engineering.

My background in academic writing, genre-based teaching, metadiscourse markers, linguistic modality, applied linguistics, and innovative teaching methods helps me a lot with designing AI learning tools.
