In addition to being a professional engineer, he is a licensed Master Plumber and Fire Suppression System Installer in New York City. Stillwell Avenue Terminal Rehabilitation
Served as Resident Engineer for this rehab山tation project for the largest above-ground station in New York City's subway system and the largest rapid transit terminal in the world. During Super Storm Sandy, the Coney Island Creek overflowed and caused chest high flooding at the terminal. Inundating all electrical, signal, and communications gear with salt water, necessitating complete replacement of all impacted equipment at a cost of approximately $15,000,000. Responsible for replacing all mechanical, electrical signals and communications equipment, including building element upgrades and NYCT employee facility.
Responsible for both design and construction management of large and complex projects in environmental engineering from design stage through construction completion. Reviewed vendor qualifications and contractors' requests for information and oversaw and participated in the shop testing for complex equipment. Was responsible for the lifecycle management of all tasks to control scope, cost and schedule. Managed the financing and procurement for all projects. Reviewed technical proposals, construction change orders, reports and studies and recommended cost effective solutions. Participated in public meetings related to land use and regulatory requirements including environmental issues and wetlands preservation.
