My job in the military was 0161, Postal Marine. I was in charge with handling parcel and letter mail for marines on multiple bases. The daily tasks was unloading mail from delivery trucks going to separate bases. We dealt with over 16,000 pieces of mail daily these also included registered,express and certified mail that came with extra instruction. After the mail was separated and sent off we dealt with customer services that included shipping pieces,locating customers mail and delivering unit mail to the marines living on base. Each marine was assigned specific tasks that they were in charge of and after a period of time would rotate to learn all of the areas of the job.
