I flew many types of aircraft. Starting with the B727-200 as a co-pilot, I then moved to the B747-200 as a co-pilot as well. I was recommended for my first command on the B737 at a very young age, and again, I was moved on to another command position on the B727. I left Iraqi Airways and joined Air Malta for 4 years, flying a B737 in command. I returned to Greece to do my compulsory military
service after being granted Greek nationality. I was engaged with a new start-up company in Greece called SEEA, South East European Airlines, flying
the Fokker 50 all over Greece, island hopping. Another opportunity arises with another start-up called Venus on an MD 83, on which I was trained as a captain and later became a line-training captain. The company then leased a couple of B757s.
I flew as a captain and later became a line training instructor on the B757. Flying all over Europe. I left Venus due to
the fact that the company was going through financial difficulties, joined A charter company flying from Italy on an ETOPS to the United States on the B767-300ER, Just shy of six months, I received a call from IASCO, a recruiting agency based in Burlingame, California, offering me an assignment in Japan to fly the MD81 for JAS and its subsidiary Harlequin, based in Fukuoka, Japan. I flew there for 6 years, then JAS merged with JAL, and we all became JAL employees. for another 2 years, for a total of 8 being based in Fukuoka City.
