  • While working at the cancer center, I was once the activities event chair for the local Relay for Life, for which my office was the main sponsor. My job was to keep everyone engaged via activities for a 24 hour period, including providing a DJ, meals and to have 24 hour medical care available. This was a wonderful way for me to give back to the community that has shown multiple family members so much love and support.
  • Every year for the past 6 years, my daughters and I have coordinated donating over 150 birthday boxes to local foster homes and emergency shelters to those who will have birthdays in less than ideal situations. This is in remembrance of my oldest daughter's best friend since diapers, who was tragically died during her freshman year at college while majoring in social work.
  • Pre Covid, my family and I regularly volunteered to prepare and serve meals at a local Ronald McDonald House in Tampa, FL. This was in response to one of my daughters having needed their services unexpectedly, as my newborn granddaughter developed complications during and after labor. Now the new policy is to send money or provide delivery of food items, so that is what we do.
  • Each year, my family and I donate over 60 onsies to the NICU unit for their preemie babies, and provides food and snacks for the nurses in the NICU.
  • My family and I volunteer at the local Care Center to wrap Christmas presents and fill stockings for under privileged children and their families.
